Registration
Please complete the Membership Registration form on the Spond website here. It will ask for an England Lacrosse (ELA) number which you will find on your account with England Lacrosse.
Register nowFixtures & Availability
Please download the app called Spond which is what we use to show our fixtures and get people's availability. We have recently started using this as the WhatsApp groups can get long and it's easy to miss responses. It will ask you for a Group Code which will allow you to set up the player and guardian so that you get the communications regarding matches and training. Codes for the age groups are as follows:
Seniors: HNKMN if you already have the app or https://group.spond.com/HNKMN
U15: QJEVZ if you already have the app or https://group.spond.com/QJEVZ
U13: QCSYI if you already have the app or https://group.spond.com/QCSYI
U12: EQDHZ if you already have the app or https://group.spond.com/EQDHZ
If you are changing age groups then please add the new group code but if you are remaining in the same age group then there is no need to change anything.
Cougars Kit
If you are a new member we will then be in touch and will issue a club playing number. At that point you can get a club playing shirt from our store on Surridge Sport.
The only 'mandatory' item is the Club Blade Training Shirt , which is our match playing shirt. A lot of players also have the Club Blade Hoody which includes their name and club number but we have recently added all of the other items on the site if they would prefer something different or just fancy some club branded leisure wear.
We just ask for black shorts or leggings and white socks to play fixtures in so that we look like a team.

Permissions
Participation in sport involves inherent risk of injury. You consider your child capable of taking part in the activities on offer. You consent that, in the event of illness/accident, any necessary treatment can be administered to your child, which may include the use of anaesthetics. You also understand that whilst the coaches will take every precaution to ensure that accidents do not happen, they cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury suffered by your child.
Welfare and communication
Could you please ensure that your daughter arrives on time and is collected promptly from training and matches. If you choose to let your daughter walk unaccompanied or do not supervise her during drop off and pick up, you do so entirely at your own risk. If you have any concerns at any time about any aspect of your child’s welfare, please contact our Welfare Officer. Here is a link to our safeguarding policy.
Use of your data
The email address that you provide on the membership form will be used as the primary form of communication with you and for no other purpose. We will only ever use your data for the proper running of the Club. See our Privacy Policy.
Medical information
We do not collect medical information on our members. It is the responsibility of parents to provide their children with any medical equipment that they might need, such as inhalers or EpiPens and to make our coaches aware on an ongoing basis of any support that your child might need. By bringing your child to a training, or a match, you are confirming that your child is fit to play. If you have any concerns about the medical well-being of your child, you should stay and watch during training and matches.
Photographs
The Cougars Lacrosse Club may wish to use group pictures that include your child for promotional purposes. These photographs will be treated in confidence and held in accordance with the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018. Further details are contained on the membership joining form.
Cancellations of training or matches
You will be notified via whatsapp as soon as possible on the morning in question should it be necessary to cancel a training session or match due to weather or unsafe pitch conditions.
England Lacrosse Association
The ELA require that you register your daughter as playing lacrosse for insurance purposes. We are unable to do this on your behalf and take no responsibility for any failure to do so. See the ELA’s registration portal for details. We also expect all members, parents and spectators to comply with the ELA’s Code of Conduct Spectators – Code of Conduct players.
Late payment
If fees remain outstanding for more than three weeks from the start of the season, girls will not be able to train or play matches until the fees are settled.
